THE VULTURE / Homeric Films Ltd. - 1967

It's Monsterous Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. I dig this weird little flick for a number of reasons, like, it stars Chaney pal Broderick (GOLIATH AND THE DRAGON) Crawford and Dungeon fave, Robert (INVISIBLE INVADERS) Hutton.. It's British, has twisted science and a human sized vulture with a man's head, come on!! And, I got a new 1967 VW Bug that year.

This movie is unavailable on Amazon, DVD and VHS, I got this copy off TV 20 years ago.

Eegah!! sent over a soundclip from this flick for our listening enjoyment, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button over there by the big old stuffed bird, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... THE VULTURE!

It all starts when a lady is taking a short cut through the cemetary. She sees a giant bird come out of a grave and fly away, this coffin is now empty and's what the cops find when they get there.

Another cool part is the lady's hair has turned white!.. Overnight!! The 'mysterious man' shows up in her room at the hospital to give her a little word of advice!

It's all in the family when Robert meets Broderick after marrying niece Trudy. Sex used to be fairly formal back then!

Made to be hidden in the shadows, it's still fun to watch as Broderick's lifted off by the flying nightmare!

Robert and Trudy try and get their minds off the murder by going to the opera! It doesn't work.

The mysterious rap on the window!

Broderick's bro is next on the hit list!

Trudy has the discomfort and displeasure of spending some time with the creepy old Professor Hans Koniglich, AKA The Vulture!

Robert breaks into the professor's hidden science lab and discovers that old gold dubloons have something to do with the murders...

Robert shoots The Vulture after it kidnaps Trudy and takes her to it's caved lair on a sea cliff.

This is a cool part too, Robert uses an anchor to weigh down the wrapped body before he tosses it into the sea, so that no one will ever know that such a freak of science ever existed!

This movie is just the worst! Picked up a dupe at the comic con and the whole plot hinges on stuffy, British people being told to not go by any windows on account of the killer man-bird and they keep right on walking by windows!!!!
